Traveling overseas in less than two weeks? No passport? No problem!

I know I'm insane to book a trip to Dubai that's less than 2 weeks away when I don't even have a passport. I do realize that. I found a bunch of online companies that can do passports same day if necessary, so let's hope they actually work!

It was no small task, but my passport info is on the way, and I should have the passport in my hot little hands by Friday. That would be a cool thing.

There's a lot more involved when you're doing these things on a rush basis, and I don't recommend it. If you don't have a passport, please, just get one. You will need it soon. You can't even return to the US from Canada, Mexico, Bermuda or anywhere without one as of June 1.

I almost got a passport card too. It was only $30 more, and it's less cumbersome than carrying the passport to Canada or Mexico, but I like the idea of filling my book with stamps of my travels, so I skipped the card. LOL.

I went home midday to print up my passport items, and when I parked at the post office, I decided to walk to my office. It's not far at all, but I did go on a bit of a wild goose chase trying to find a place to Fedex my documents from. (Fedex was the only choice - sorry, Billy!)

I got a good 15 minutes of walking in, and it was so nice to walk the streets of downtown Manchester. I'm glad I have a nice brief walk ahead of me back to my car too.

We are celebrating 5/5 a day early. I'm dying for my steak taco salad, and I know it will be insanely crowded tomorrow. If you're local and you can make it, come join us!

PS - I did the stairs again when I arrived back from my walk. It seemed steeper and longer than in the AM. Maybe it was my roast beef and potato lunch. LOL - either way, it will get easier - I know this!!

If anyone can get a passport in 4 days, it's you!

But you're right, everyone should have a passport so it's best just to get it and be done with it.

Glad you worked in exercise during your travels today, every step helps.

I still can't believe that you've never travelled outside the US...it's about time!
